Dr Sebi, is fasting a part of the cleansing system?

Dr Sebi:

Fasting is something that you would do gradually, over a period of time. You will learn to fast, will adjust yourself to fast. I’m doing it now, I have used all kind of methods.

One, I remember the first time I fast. I went on it for ninety-four (94) days, non-stop. I didn’t eat anything. You know, it was 12 years later you know that I did that; and twenty (20) years later I fasted for 28 days only. So, in fasting I learned that you have to learn to fast because the stomach has to readjust.

If you fast suddenly and the stomach shrinks, the conditioning up here [touching the head] will say, I’ve got to fill this thing back up.

But if you fast one day and eat another, fast one day and eat another, do that for seven days and then next month you fast for two days and eat two days and then you go with that and your stomach has a chance to shrink slowly.

So, and once it’s shrink, the desire for food becomes minimal.
